More information about “Touring the World through Art”:

In a lecture, the very popular theme of “traveling” is presented both poetically and in the artistic philosophical sense. You can freely choose style and subject of your artworks, but it should have something to do with traveling (according to your interpretation).

An important part of this art presentation and contest is the book “Touring the World through Art” with your picture on a full page. The book will be presented later at a special vernissage in our Studio Gallery in Bonn-Königswinter for our art lovers circle with an additional large-scale video presentation.

There are 10 jury prizes! The first prize winner will be rewarded with an extra solo art and gift book (EXAMPLE). The winner can freely choose the sujet of his/her book.)

Cultural program:

In a talk about traveling, the travel writer, Gabriele Walter, will accompany the film screening with both music and words. In addition to its own haiku poetry and relaxing music, exquisite poems by famous authors are once again included. In particular the example of the famous German poet, Rainer Maria Rilke, explains the relationship between art and poetry. (He is also known as a “German Guillaume Apollinaire”.)
.
In this way, visitors are also inspired towards the contemplative approach to art. Scientific research has shown that Rilke was inspired to write numerous poems after examining the works of Rodin, Cézanne and the Impressionists. When he experienced a creative block, he turned increasingly to the visual arts. In addition, the lecture will be accompanied by philosophical thoughts and ideas about travel.
